Sponsored by the Association for Women in Communications, the Clarion Awards understandably focus on women. Started in 1972, the award honors excellence in more categories across all communications disciplines.
Questar Award
A lesser known and lower key award, the Questar Awards offer rather straight forward trophies but also straight forward entries.
Davey Awards
The Davey Awards pride themselves on focusing on small businesses. The Davids versus the Goliaths. They are slick and one of the many awards created by Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts — a company that seems to keep coming up with more awards to issue. But, the trophy is nice and the program well-managed.
Videographer Awards
This is the first in our series on video awards that members can enter.
The Videographer Awards is one of the original video awards and still sticks to those RGB roots. Unfortunately, while the competition is fine, the trophy could use some updating. The Lucite clapper board while a nice touchstone is a bit on the low end in a world of shiny and tall trophies.
